Hannah qualified as Sports thumbnail_hannahpictureand Remedial Massage over 12 year ago after receiving successful treatment of and discovering firsthand the power of soft tissue therapy.

Since qualifying Hannah has worked with a broad range of clients, from working alongside the Physio team at Grays Athletic Football club to treating runners, cyclists and clients with every day occupational or lifestyle injuries and pain.  As someone who has worked in offices for over 25 years she understands the postural problems that can come from sitting at a desk all day and treating and educating clients with back, neck and shoulder pain has become a particular focus of her work.

Clinical interests:

  • Sports injury
  • Pre and post event massage
  • Back and neck pain
  • Muscle strains
  • Postural advice
  • Massage and stretching as a long term maintenance tool

Social interests

Hannah is a keen cyclist, trail runner,  hill walker and gardener.  She understands how injury can sometimes get in the way of enjoying these past times and is motivated to ensure clients can return to the activities they love as quickly as possible.

Sports and Remedial Massage

The treatment involves the tailored manipulation and management of the body’s muscles, tendons and ligaments to improve function and reduce pain.

You don’t need to be a sports person to benefit from Hannah’s treatments, anyone wanting to recover or guard against muscular injury or pain can benefit.   A large part of her work load comes from those with sedentary jobs who spend large amounts of time sitting at desks and driving.  These everyday activities place the muscles of the back, neck and shoulders under prolonged strain and can lead to chronic muscle tightness and eventually pain and dysfunction.  Using a range of deep tissue massage, trigger pointing and stretching techniques can bring great improvements to muscle flexibility, improving range of movement and reducing pain
